I'm pretty highly skilled in both BC and HAC, having specialized in HACs quite a bit. I fly the Myrm and think its a great ship, but at the end of the day my Ishtar would eat a Myrm and crap out little Tristans.

You have used a fairly poor example to prove that HACs are better than BC, setup corretly a Myrm can kill a HAC and the same is true vice versa.
Your Ishtar maybe able to eat "your" Myrm because you know what setup both are useing i could say my Zelot eats my Herbinger but i cant say my Zelot eats anyones BC till it actualy does.
I haven't attempted to prove that HACS are better than BC's in fact, the Myrm is very typical of a poor mans Ishtar and so comparisons to an Ishtar seem applicable.
I also didn't rely on my own personal setups or skills in making a comparison between an Ishtar and Myrm, but simply used the generic ship info and bonuses. On paper..the Ishtar should out perform the Myrm becuase the Myrm has a limited drone bay and no specific bonus to medium guns. The nice thing a Myrm has going for it is the great medium armor repper bonus, but one could easily argue the tech II resists of the ishtar even the playing field.
I enjoy both ships, but each have their own roles and neither makes the other obsolete.

The new BC's do rock but that doesn't mean HAC's suck.
You still fly your Vaga with a low rack of WCS, or has the new nerf kind of impacted your setup?
